Sola Entertainment announced a second season for the Ninja Kamui anime. While no further details were revealed, the announcement was accompanied by the release of Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins, a game based on the anime, now available for the Switch and developed by G.rev.
The game description: “In Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins, race against the clock as Tsukumo, slashing through hordes of enemies while uncovering AUZA’s sinister plot.”
Sola Entertainment’s CEO, Joseph Chou, noted Ninja Kamui as the most viewed anime on both Adult Swim and Max. The anime premiered on Adult Swim’s Toonami block on February 10 and streamed on Max from February 11.
The anime follows Joe Higan, a former ninja hiding in rural America who is forced to return to his ninja ways to avenge his family. Directed by Sunghoo Park, with character designs by Takeshi Okazaki, the anime blends ancient ninja skills with futuristic elements.
