The iconic Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed) anime and film series is gearing up to celebrate its 30th anniversary in January 2026. To kick off the celebrations, a special “30 Year Project” has been announced, complete with a new official logo and a commemorative video. More details about the anniversary events will be revealed through a dedicated website in the coming months.
The Detective Conan manga, written by Gosho Aoyama, has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday since January 1994 and has been collected into 106 volumes. The English version of the series, titled Case Closed, is published by VIZ Media. The anime adaptation began in January 1996, with the first theatrical film hitting theaters in April 1997.
