Muse has confirmed that DAN DA DAN: Evil Eye will have a theatrical premiere across Southeast Asia and other Asian regions, with screenings set to begin on May 30, 2025. The film will be available in ten Asian territories, including:
- Singapore
- Malaysia
- The Philippines
- Indonesia
- Thailand
- Vietnam
- Taiwan
- Hong Kong
- Macao
- India
The DAN DA DAN: Evil Eye arc follows Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult enthusiast. In this arc, they travel to a hot springs town to investigate the mysterious past of Momo’s childhood friend, Jiji. However, strange events and eerie locals soon derail their investigation, leading them to uncover dark secrets hidden beneath the town’s surface.
The theatrical release will feature the conclusion of the Evil Eye arc from Season 1, the first three episodes of Season 2, and an exclusive interview with co-directors Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora. In North America, the movie will be released on June 6, 2025, by GKIDS, while European audiences can catch it starting June 7 through ADN. The official premiere of DAN DA DAN Season 2 is scheduled for July 2025.
DAN DA DAN, created by Yukinobu Tatsu, has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app since April 2021. The anime, directed by Fuga Yamashiro and animated by Science SARU, marks his directorial debut.
