Bandai Namco Pictures will bring a special selection of episodes from the Aikatsu! TV anime to movie theaters in Japan for a limited three-week run starting June 20, 2025. The screenings, titled Aikatsu! Memorial Stage, will feature re-edited episodes, along with exclusive bonus content.
Details about which episodes will be included will be announced later. However, the main visual released for the event highlights Akari Ozora, the lead character from the Akari Generation arc, which forms the second half of the series.
The Aikatsu! franchise, which revolves around idol culture, debuted in October 2012 with the first anime series. It ran from October 2012 to March 2016. This was followed by several sequels: Aikatsu Stars! (2016-2018), Aikatsu Friends! (2018-2019), Aikatsu on Parade! (2019-2020), and Aikatsu Planet! (2021). The current project, Aikatsu Academy!, launched in July 2024, focuses on virtual idols’ activities on YouTube.
