Ahead of its April 8 broadcast and simultaneous simulcast on Crunchyroll, The Shiunji Family Children anime has unveiled a new “date” visual featuring the second-eldest daughter, Seiha Shiunji. The visual shows Seiha enjoying the sunny atmosphere at Katase Nishihama beach near Fujisawa Station.
This visual is part of a series of five daily ‘date’ visuals showcasing the anime’s heroines in various locations near railway lines. The confirmed cast for The Shiunji Family Children includes:
- Arata Shiunji voiced by Yuichiro Umehara
- Banri Shiunji voiced by Chika Anzai
- Seiha Shiunji voiced by Marika Kono
- Oka Shiunji voiced by Rie Takahashi
- Minami Shiunji voiced by Hana Hishikawa
- Kotono Shiunji voiced by Kana Ichinose
- Shion Shiunji voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi
The anime is based on a manga by Rent-a-Girlfriend creator Reiji Miyajima, with Ryoki Kamitsubo (director of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) directing at Studio Doga Kobo. Noboru Kimura (known for Solo Leveling) handles series composition, while Miki Muto (costume designer for SING “YESTERDAY” FOR ME) provides character designs. The music is by Shota Horie, Akki, and Ginnojo Hoshi.
Yen Press publishes the official English version of the manga, which follows Arata Shiunji as he navigates life with his siblings, who are not actually related by blood. When Arata’s father reveals the truth, his relationships with his sisters become complicated, as they begin to act suggestively toward him. As he struggles to keep things normal, Arata must balance family bonds with his own teenage urges.
The Shiunji Family Children will premiere on April 8, with new episodes simulcast on Crunchyroll.
