A second season of Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms has officially been confirmed following the finale of its first season. The anime, produced by Studio SynergySP (known for Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2), premiered on January 6, 2025, and ran for 12 episodes, concluding on March 24. Crunchyroll is streaming the series outside Japan.
The announcement of Season 2 was accompanied by a new illustration, signaling the continuation of the story. The voice cast for the series includes:
- Ryota Iwasaki as Medaka Kuroiwa
- Yu Serizawa as Mona Kawai
- Sora Amamiya as Asahi Shonan
- Kana Hanazawa as Tsubomi Haruno
- Hinaki Yano as Tomo Namba
- Kaori Maeda as Minami Shirahama
The anime is directed by Yoshiaki Okumura, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handling series composition and script. Mayumi Watanabe is the character designer, Akiyuki Tateyama composed the music, and Masakazu Miyake served as the art director.
The manga, written and illustrated by Ran Kuze, began as a one-shot in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in December 2020, and serialized starting May 2021. Kodansha USA publishes the English version.
The story centers on Mona Kawai, the most charming girl at her school, who meets Medaka Kuroiwa, a new transfer student immune to her charm. Determined to win him over and become the top student, Mona’s attempts to dominate the school take an unexpected turn as she slowly begins to fall for Medaka.
