The anime film Trapezium, which premiered in Japan on May 10, 2024, is now officially available for streaming on Crunchyroll. The film was animated by CloverWorks, the studio behind popular series like SPY x FAMILY, My Dress-Up Darling, BOCCHI THE ROCK, and Horimiya.
Synopsis
Trapezium follows high school student Yu Azuma, who dreams of becoming an idol. To pursue her goal, she avoids social media and personal relationships, focusing solely on forming a group with three other girls from different parts of her prefecture. As she works toward her dream, Yu faces various challenges that test her dedication.
The film is based on the novel by Kazumi Takayama, a former member of the idol group Nogizaka46. The story was serialized in Kadokawa’s Da Vinci imprint from 2016 to 2018 before being adapted into a film. Crunchyroll also hosted a special one-day screening of the movie on September 18, 2024, for international audiences.
