The official Gundam outlets have revealed the release date for the highly anticipated Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX TV anime in a newly released promotional video.
Directed by the experienced Kazuya Tsurumaki, the anime is produced by Hideaki Anno’s renowned team at Studio Khara. The story follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student leading a quiet life in a space colony. Amate’s world is turned upside down after meeting Nyaan, a war refugee, who introduces her to Clan Battle, an illegal mobile suit dueling sport.
Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- is an anime film version that reimagines the key events of the TV series. The film, which premiered in Japanese theaters earlier this year, will also debut in North America through GKIDS later this week.
The Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX TV anime will premiere in Japan on April 8. As of now, there is no official release date for overseas markets.
