Ninja vs Gokudo is officially getting an anime adaptation, as confirmed by the series’ official X account. While specific details about the staff, cast, and release date have yet to be revealed, a new illustration from the manga’s creator, Shinsuke Kondo, has been shared to give fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
Ninja vs Gokudo (also known as Ninja to Gokudo) is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Shinsuke Kondo. It began serialization on Kodansha’s Comic Days website in January 2020 and has released fourteen volumes as of November 2024.
Kodansha USA has licensed the series for English readers under the title Ninja Vs. Gokudo, summarizing the first volume with this description:
Since ancient times, ninjas and the yakuza have been locked in a bloody war that spans across the globe as empires rise and fall. In the modern age, Shinoha, a ninja, crosses paths with Kiwami, a gangster following the yakuza path, known as gokudo. Though their shared interests suggest nothing but trouble, could a growing bromance actually challenge a 300-year-old grudge?
The question now remains: Who will claim ultimate power in this ongoing struggle?
