The official website for the upcoming original anime series Virgin Punk has announced that the first part, titled “Clockwork Girl,” will be released in theaters on June 27, 2025. The film will be shown at the Cine Libre Ikebukuro theater in Tokyo and the Theatre Umeda theater in Osaka.
The anime project was first introduced during the Aniplex Online Fest 2024 event in September 2024. Directed by Yasuomi Umetsu, known for Kite and Mezzo Forte, the series features his original story. The production is handled by studio Shaft.
