It has been confirmed that the popular manga A Star Brighter Than The Sun by Kazune Kawahara, currently being serialized in Bessatsu Margaret (Shueisha), will be adapted into a TV anime set to air in 2025.
In celebration of the announcement, the author Kazune Kawahara shared a heartfelt comment along with a stunning original illustration.
Kazune Kawahara’s Comment:
“I am so grateful to everyone involved in the anime. They have put a lot of love and care into it while respecting the original story. There are new lines and expressions added to the work, and they’ve done an amazing job, so I hope you will all tune in once it begins airing. This is my first experience having my artwork turned into an anime, and even though I didn’t fully understand my own art style and often take shortcuts when drawing, they made it look incredibly cute!”
A Star Brighter Than The Sun tells the heartwarming story of Sae Iwata, a strong and energetic girl, and Kouki Kamishiro, a fragile boy whom she helps. Their blossoming first love is filled with tenderness and charm.
