Etotama Marks 10th Anniversary with New Visual and Special Website

The Etotama anime is celebrating a major milestone in 2025: its 10th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, the official Etotama website has launched a special anniversary page, featuring a new visual and a variety of content dedicated to the beloved series.

Etotama, an original anime created by Encourage Films and Shirogumi, originally aired from April 9 to June 25, 2015. Directed by Fumitoshi Oizaki, with series composition by Deko Akao and character designs by Satoshi Koike and Asami Takahashi, the series quickly gained a loyal following.

The Story of Etotama

Crunchyroll currently streams the anime, offering a synopsis of the story: Etotama follows the tradition of Japan’s 12 Zodiac signs, featuring the Eto-musumes (Zodiac girls) who embody the animals of the Zodiac. These pure-hearted messengers bridge the gap between humans and the gods. Every 60 years, the “ETM 12” tournament takes place in Tokyo’s Akihabara district, where aspiring girls from across Japan gather for a chance to become the next Zodiac sign.
