Japanese entertainment company Remow has officially announced a TV anime adaptation of the popular manga series With You, Our Love Will Make It Through (Kimi To Koete Koi Ni Naru or KIMIKOE), which is set to premiere in the fall of 2025.
The anime is based on a shojo manga, a genre aimed at teenage girls, typically centered on romance and emotional stories. Since its debut, the series has become a hit, with 1.2 million copies in circulation and over 53 million page views on the girls’ manga app Manga Mee by December 2024. The story follows a high school romance between a human student and a beastfolk transfer student, adding a supernatural twist to the classic shojo romance formula.
The manga, written by Chihiro Yuzuki, has been serialized on Shueisha’s Manga Mee platform since May 2019, with English translations available from Yen Press. As of now, the series has released seven volumes, with the eighth set for release on January 23.
The anime’s voice cast features Manaka Iwami as Asaka Mari, the human protagonist, and Takuya Eguchi as Hidaka Tsunagu, the beastfolk character. Iwami shared her excitement, stating, “I was captivated by the idea of a romance between a human and a beastfolk. Mari is a straightforward and kind girl, and the evolving relationship between her and Tsunagu, as well as the characters around them, is very engaging.”
Eguchi, who voices Tsunagu, said, “Being a beastfolk is a difficult situation in this world. I aimed to convey the complex emotions Tsunagu experiences.”
Manga author Yuzuki expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thanks to the support of readers, KIMIKOE is becoming an anime! It’s amazing to see the story come to life with voices and animation.”
Remow, founded in 2021 with Shueisha as a major shareholder, will announce global streaming details for the series at a later date.
