Though it’s been over 14 years since the last Harry Potter movie hit theaters, the magical world of the Boy Who Lived continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
The final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II, was released in 2011, and the book The Deathly Hallows came out back in 2007, marking the official end of the Harry Potter franchise. Despite this, the series’ influence remains strong, with spin-offs, books, and games like Hogwarts Legacy and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions keeping fans engaged.
Recently, Japanese fans were in for a surprise as the worlds of Harry Potter and Detective Conan collided in a unique crossover. Detective Conan, also known as Case Closed, is a beloved Japanese manga series that has captured readers since 1996.
In an unexpected twist, Harry Potter and Detective Conan share more similarities than one might think, with both characters sporting glasses and solving mysteries. This connection is highlighted in a new official collaboration visual, which shows the two side by side.
The visual reveals: “A collaboration between two glasses-wearing boys that will surprise the world.”
This crossover not only underscores the global impact of the Harry Potter franchise but also has the potential to introduce new fans to the Detective Conan universe. The reverse is true as well, as this partnership could introduce Detective Conan’s crime-solving adventures to a wider Western audience.
Currently, the collaboration exists only as artwork, but fans are hopeful that an anime crossover could be in the works, promising an exciting fusion of two legendary series.
