Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You Anime Features Marcy Ending Song

by Hazel

The official website for the highly anticipated TV anime adaptation of Haruka Mitsui’s Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You has unveiled a new commercial featuring the anime’s ending theme song, “Negaigoto” (“Make A Wish”), performed by the Japanese rock band Marcy. This marks the first time the trio’s music has been featured in an anime series.

Marcy, composed of Ukyo Terada (vocals and guitar), Takumi Fuji (bass), and Shuji (guitar), made their major label debut under Universal Sigma in June 2022. “Negaigoto” is the band’s first-ever anime theme song and is set to be released digitally on January 8, 2025.

In a statement on their official website, the band reflected on the inspiration behind the song: “The preciousness and joy of people thinking of others straight from the depths of their hearts is, at the same time, a painful and sad thing. We were reminded of this as we read the original manga and the screenplay, enveloped by the dazzling, fleeting, and sparkling tale of youth. A wish to stay close to their loved one, no matter what the cost. We wrote this song with such wishes as much as we could.”
