The official social media account for the television anime adaptation of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill (Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hōrō Meshi), based on the light novel series by Ren Eguchi and illustrated by Masa, has confirmed that the second season of the anime will premiere in 2025.
The first season of the anime debuted on January 10, streaming exclusively in Japan through Amazon Prime Video and Hikari TV. Crunchyroll also streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
Kiyoshi Matsuda, known for his work on RE-MAIN, Kakegurui season 2, and Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?, directed the first season at the MAPPA studio. The anime’s scripts were overseen by Michiko Yokote, a veteran known for her work on Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, and Shirobako, while Nao Ōtsu, who worked on BEASTARS, adapted Masa’s original character designs for animation. The music was composed by Masato Kōda (KonoSuba), Kana Utatane (KanadeYUK), and the Kuricorder Quartet (Tsuritama).
Eguchi began publishing the Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill light novel series on the “Shosetsuka ni Narō” website in 2016. Overlap is the publisher behind both the light novel series and K Akagishi’s manga adaptation in Japan. Additionally, Overlap is publishing the Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hōrō Meshi: Sui no Daibōken spinoff manga, illustrated by Momo Futaba. In North America, both the light novels and Akagishi’s manga adaptation are being released by J-Novel Club.
