BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!, the popular mobile game based on the hit franchise about an all-girls band, has announced an unlikely crossover event with the gritty anime Chainsaw Man. The collaboration, which begins on December 15, brings the bloody world of Chainsaw Man into the musical realm of BanG Dream! for a limited time.
New Characters and Songs Inspired by Chainsaw Man
According to Bushiroad, the publishers of BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!, the collaboration will feature five new Limited Members inspired by characters from Chainsaw Man. The featured characters from BanG Dream! will adopt the styles of some of Chainsaw Man’s most iconic figures, including Aki Hayakawa, Kobeni, Denji, Makima, and Power. The selected BanG Dream! characters include Rui Yashio, Rimi Ushigome, Ran Mitake, Sayo Hikawa, and Toko Kirigaya, each taking on the visual and thematic qualities of their Chainsaw Man counterparts.
In addition to new characters, two popular Chainsaw Man songs will be featured in the game as cover tracks. These include the opening theme, CHAINSAW BLOOD, and the ending theme, Fighting Song, which will now be performed in the unique musical style of the BanG Dream! bands.
Limited-Time Events and Exclusive Rewards
To accompany the collaboration, BanG Dream! will host a special limited-time event titled “CHAINSAW AMPL’IF’IER,” starting on December 15. The event will run through December 23, offering players the opportunity to earn event points that can be exchanged for various in-game rewards, including exclusive stamps and stars.
Additionally, a collaborative mission will allow players to redeem special limited prizes, such as a Pochita-inspired Live2D costume, decorative pins representing the five collaboration members, and unique player titles. Players can also earn a special Live Boost item called “Ultimate Toast,” which recovers 10 Live Boosts, helping them progress through the event more efficiently.
Event Duration and Conclusion
The BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! and Chainsaw Man collaboration will run until December 25, 2024, giving fans just over a week to experience the crossover. Players can access the CHAINSAW AMPL’IF’IER event until December 23, while the overall collaboration will be available for a limited time until Christmas.
