Crunchyroll, Aniplex, and ufotable have officially announced that the first film in the highly anticipated Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle trilogy will debut in 2025. This film will bring the final arc of the Demon Slayer manga to the big screen.
Haruo Sotozaki will return as the director for the trilogy, with Akira Matsushima once again taking on the role of character designer and chief animation director. Both are key figures from the production team at ufotable, which is known for its stunning animation work on previous Demon Slayer installments. While the premiere date remains unconfirmed, excitement is already building for the epic conclusion to the series.
A teaser trailer for the upcoming film has been released, offering fans their first glimpse of the action.
Return of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
The Demon Slayer anime made a notable return on May 12, 2024, with the launch of its fourth season. The season introduced the “Hashira Training Arc,” setting the stage for the final showdown against the series’ central antagonist, Muzan Kibutsuji. This arc focuses on the preparations of the elite Hashira and the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps as they brace for the decisive battle to end Muzan’s reign of terror.
The opening theme song for the Hashira Training Arc is “Mugen (Dreams),” performed by MY FIRST STORY and HYDE. In addition, the special ending theme song, “Shōri no Meidō ~ Kizuna no Kiseki & Nezuko Kamado no Uta REMIX,” is a collaboration between MAN WITH A MISSION and milet, featured in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- theatrical screening.
