Totsuko Higurashi is a high school student gifted with the ability to see the ‘colors’ of emotions in others—bliss, excitement, serenity, and one hue she cherishes most of all. She discovers this captivating color emanating from Kimi Sakunaga, a fellow classmate. Despite not being a musician, Totsuko teams up with Kimi and Rui Kagehira, a reserved music lover they encounter at a secondhand bookstore, to form a band. Their rehearsals at an old church on a secluded island forge deep friendships and budding affections as music connects them. But will they uncover their own true ‘colors’?

Global Release

The Colors Within will be distributed by GKIDS in North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand, introducing international audiences to Naoko Yamada’s latest emotional masterpiece.
