Toho Next has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the upcoming anime feature film, Lupin the Third: The Movie, promising an exciting return of the legendary world-traveling master thief, Lupin III. The trailer teases, “You still don’t know the real Lupin III,” setting the stage for what is sure to be an action-packed adventure.
Directed by Takeshi Koike, known for his work on Lupin the 3rd: Fujiko’s Lie and Redline, the film is produced by Telecom Animation Film. The script is penned by Yuya Takahashi, who previously worked on Lupin the 3rd Part IV, and the music is composed by James Shimoji, also of Redline fame. Katsuhito Ishii, the original creator of Redline, serves as the creative advisor for the project.
The cast features returning voices for the beloved characters, with Kanichi Kurita voicing Lupin III, Akio Otsuka as Daisuke Jigen, Daisuke Namikawa as Goemon Ishikawa, Miyuki Sawashiro as Fujiko Mine, and Koichi Yamadera as Inspector Zenigata.
Lupin the Third: The Movie is set to hit theaters in 2025, with Toho Next distributing the film. Fans of the iconic franchise can expect a thrilling cinematic experience when the film makes its roadshow debut next year.
