Crunchyroll has confirmed that all One Piece anime arcs beyond episode 206—the conclusion of the Sky Island arc—will be made exclusive to Crunchyroll Premium members. The anime arcs will be rolled out in three phases, starting later this month.
Phase One: Water 7 to Fishman Island Arcs
Starting December 23, Crunchyroll Premium will exclusively offer the Water 7 to Fishman Island arcs. These beloved storylines will be available as part of the platform’s premium subscription, allowing fans to enjoy these critical episodes ad-free.
Phase Two: Punk Hazard to Whole Cake Island Arcs
On January 20, 2025, the anime’s Punk Hazard to Whole Cake Island arcs, along with six specials, will join Crunchyroll Premium’s exclusive content library. These arcs, pivotal to the ongoing saga of Luffy and his crew, will now be accessible only to paid members.
Phase Three: Reverie, Wano Kuni, and Egghead Island Arcs
In a final phase, the Reverie, Wano Kuni, and Egghead Island arcs will become available exclusively to Crunchyroll Premium users starting February 17, 2025. These arcs, which feature intense battles and crucial developments, will complete the series’ most recent and ongoing adventures.
While the anime is currently on a break, along with the manga, fans can expect new episodes to resume in April 2025. Crunchyroll also announced that further details on the return of the Egghead Arc adaptation will be revealed at Jump Festa 2025.
Fishman Island Saga Gets Special Edition Release
Additionally, a special edited version of the Fishman Island arc premiered on November 3, 2024. Titled One Piece Log: Fishman Island Saga, the new release spans 21 episodes and features remade scenes, enhanced artwork, color adjustments, Dolby Atmos sound, and more. Originally set to debut on October 27, the saga has been reworked to offer a fresh viewing experience for fans.
One Piece Base Mobile App Launches in Japan
Finally, the One Piece Base mobile app has launched in Japan. The app features a manga viewer and a variety of other content from the One Piece franchise. International fans can look forward to the app’s release outside of Japan in 2025, with multi-language support. The app also allows users to scan barcodes from select One Piece merchandise to earn points and unlock chapters for reading.
With these exciting announcements, Crunchyroll is offering fans a wealth of exclusive content, ensuring that One Piece remains a key part of the anime world in 2025.
