Anime Adaptation of ‘Yūsha Party o Tsuihō Sareta Shiro Madōshi’ Reveals Staff, Visual, and 2025 Airing Date

Happinet has officially announced details regarding the upcoming anime adaptation of Yūsha Party o Tsuihō Sareta Shiro Madōshi, S-Rank Bōkensha ni Hirowareru: Kono Shiro Madōshi ga Kikakugai Sugiru (The White Mage Who Was Banished from the Hero’s Party is Picked Up by an S-Rank Adventurer: This White Mage is Too Out of the Ordinary!). The highly anticipated series, based on the light novels by Sora Suigetsu and illustrated by DeeCHA, is scheduled to air in 2025.

Staff and Creative Team

The anime will be directed by Hiroshi Tamada, known for his work as episode director on Bakusō Kyōdai Let’s & Go!!, Glass Fleet, and The Heroic Legend of Arslan OVA. The series will be produced by Felix Film, with Akihiko Inari—familiar to audiences from his work on Chōyū Sekai: Being the Reality and Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement—handling the series scripts. Character design will be overseen by Yuta Ito, who contributed as sub-character designer on Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement.

Plot Overview

The story follows Lloyd, a white mage who is unceremoniously banished from the hero’s party. Now without a job, he stumbles upon an S-rank adventurer party and unexpectedly becomes a key member. Initially believing himself to be just another normal adventurer, Lloyd remains unaware of his true potential. As the hero’s party collapses, Lloyd’s journey takes a turn as he begins to gain recognition and fame, all while unknowingly becoming a peerless magic user.

Source Material Background

Sora Suigetsu first debuted the web novel version of the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in March 2020. The series was later adapted into light novel format by Futabasha, which began publishing the novels in November 2020. The sixth volume was released on February 29, 2024, with the seventh volume scheduled for release this Friday.

A manga adaptation by Wasabi Mukuno launched on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website in January 2021. The manga’s seventh volume was released on May 30, 2024, with the eighth volume set to hit shelves this Friday.
