In a major development for the Fate anime franchise, Azuki has announced an official partnership with Aniplex of America, bringing the critically acclaimed Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] to the U.S. digital platform, Anime.com. This collaboration, which was first revealed in September 2024, promises to deliver new, immersive online experiences for anime fans.

Anime.com, an all-in-one platform launched by Azuki, offers access to exclusive merchandise, events, and digital collectibles, including NFTs. The platform will feature content from prominent anime titles, starting with Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works], known for its captivating storytelling and visually stunning animation. The anime will soon be available for streaming, though the exact release date is still to be confirmed.

Along with the streaming of Unlimited Blade Works, Anime.com users will also be able to collect digital stickers from the upcoming Fate/strange Fake anime series. The latest episode of Fate/strange Fake is set to premiere during the Fate Project New Year’s Eve TV Special on December 31, 2024. To celebrate this, Anime.com will be offering exclusive stickers for collection at the Fate 20th Anniversary Showcase in Los Angeles on November 23, 2024. Fans attending the event or watching the live stream on Aniplex of America’s platform can collect four different sticker sets featuring iconic characters from the Fate series. These stickers will be usable in upcoming beta experiences on Anime.com.

Anime.com is dedicated to building a vibrant community where fans can connect with the anime they love in new, immersive ways. The addition of these titles is an exciting step in growing the platform.” Yosuke Kodaka, President of Aniplex of America, echoed this sentiment, stating, “Partnering with Azuki allows us to bring part of Fate to a vibrant new community on Anime.com. We are excited to see these stories reach both dedicated fans and new viewers, and we look forward to expanding the Fate series’ presence within the growing anime community in the U.S.”

Azuki, initially known for its NFT-based anime collectibles, has since expanded into anime merchandising, event planning, and production. This year, Azuki partnered with acclaimed anime director Goro Taniguchi to oversee its Enter the Garden anime anthology. The company is also exploring the potential of web3 technologies, including decentralization, blockchain, and tokens, to offer new opportunities for anime creators.

Recently, Azuki has brought on traditional entertainment executives, such as former FOX Corp. executive Steve Chung, and former Warner Bros. brand development head Jessica Turner. With these strategic additions, Azuki is positioning itself as a major player in the anime and digital content space.

As Azuki continues to grow its footprint in the anime industry, the collaboration with Aniplex of America marks an exciting chapter for Fate fans and marks a significant milestone in the evolution of digital anime content.
