The global hit anime Jujutsu Kaisen continues to captivate audiences, with fans eagerly anticipating the release of its third season. Based on the popular manga series by Gege Akutami, the show has seen tremendous success since its debut. The anime, produced by Studio MAPPA, has already aired two seasons and a prequel film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, further solidifying its place as a fan favorite.
In the series, viewers follow the journey of Yuji Itadori (voiced by Junya Enoki), a young man who embarks on a perilous path of jujutsu sorcery in a world filled with dangerous curses. As the show dives deeper into the supernatural, the stakes for Yuji and his allies grow ever higher.
Following the conclusion of Season 2, which aired from July to December 2023, Jujutsu Kaisen has officially been renewed for a third season. However, a concrete release date for the upcoming season has yet to be announced.
Season 3 will adapt the manga’s Culling Games arc, covering chapters 159 to 221. This marks a highly anticipated continuation of the story. The time gap between the first two seasons was roughly two years, so fans can expect Season 3 to premiere around the same timeframe—potentially in 2025 or 2026.
The core cast is set to return, including Junya Enoki as Yuji, Yuma Uchida as Megumi, and Yuichi Nakamura as the powerful sorcerer Gojo. Takahiro Sakurai is also expected to reprise his role as Geto/Kenjaku, while other characters such as Yuta (voiced by Megumi Ogata) and Tsumiki (voiced by Saori Hayami) are likely to return as well.
In a demonstration of the show’s immense popularity, a fan-made trailer for Season 3 went viral in November 2024. Created by Galactic Republic Studio, a non-profit animation group, the fan trailer has further fueled excitement for the upcoming season.
For those eager to revisit the series, all episodes from the first two seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen, along with the prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, are available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
As the wait for Season 3 continues, fans can be assured that the series’ gripping story and memorable characters will return to the screen in due time.
