The eagerly awaited third season of One-Punch Man has unveiled a new hero visual featuring Zombieman, illustrated by character designer Shinjiro Kuroda, known for his work on SPY x FAMILY CODE: White. This announcement was made through the series’ official social media account earlier this month.
While fans are excited about the return of the popular series, the release date for the upcoming season has yet to be announced. Studio J.C.STAFF, which produced the second season, is once again at the helm for this new installment, although details regarding the director and specific release timeline remain unconfirmed.
One-Punch Man adapts the webcomic by ONE, creator of Mob Psycho 100, and the manga illustrated by Yusuke Murata, known for Eyeshield 21. The series follows the story of Saitama, a superhero who defeats his enemies with a single punch, leaving him to grapple with the monotony of his overwhelming strength and the search for a worthy opponent. VIZ Media publishes the series in English and provides the following synopsis:
“Every time a promising villain appears, Saitama beats the snot out of ’em with one punch! Can he finally find an opponent who can go toe-to-toe with him and give his life some meaning? Or is he doomed to a life of superpowered boredom?”
