The Most Anticipated Anime of the Season: More Than Just Dragon Ball Daima

by Hazel

As the anime world gears up for a busy fall season, “Dragon Ball Daima” is making headlines as one of the most highly anticipated releases. However, fans should explore the diverse array of anime offerings set to debut on streaming platforms in the coming months.

“Dragon Ball Daima,” which is set to premiere on Netflix, AnimeBox, and Crunchyroll on October 18, follows the legacy of the late Akira Toriyama. This new series takes place after the events of “Dragon Ball Z” and before “Dragon Ball Super,” featuring beloved characters like Goku, Vegeta, and Bulma transformed back into their childhood forms.

But “Dragon Ball Daima” is just one of many exciting titles to watch for this season. Another notable series is “Uzumaki,” a chilling animated miniseries based on the work of Junji Ito, which is currently releasing new episodes weekly on Max. The season finale, the fourth episode, will air on October 20, delving into the unsettling mysteries surrounding the spiral phenomenon in the town of Kurōzu-cho.

“Dan Da Dan,” which debuted on Netflix and Crunchyroll at the start of October, is following a similar weekly release format. This series, which boasts a total of 12 episodes, is produced by the renowned Science SARU studio, founded by Masaaki Yuasa. The show’s success has generated excitement for a future project from Science SARU titled “The Colors Within,” set to premiere in 2025.

Additionally, Netflix welcomed a remake of the classic 90s series “Ranma ½” on October 5, which will also consist of 12 episodes released weekly.

Another major highlight is Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, which premiered its third part on Disney Plus on October 5.

Blue Lock has also returned for its second season on Crunchyroll, and the highly anticipated second season of the isekai series Shangri-La Frontier is set to launch this Sunday.

As the season unfolds, anime enthusiasts have plenty to choose from. Which series are you most excited about, and do any of them stand out against “Dragon Ball Daima”?
