Kadokawa has officially announced that the popular manga series Gorilla no Kami kara Kagosareta Reijou wa Ouritsu Kishi-dan de Kawaigarareru (Blessed by the Gorilla God, the Young Lady is Loved by the Royal Knights) will be adapted into a television anime set to premiere in 2025. This announcement coincides with World Gorilla Day and comes from the creative team of writer Shirohi and illustrator Mika Kamisu.
While specific details regarding the anime adaptation remain limited, Kamisu celebrated the news with a special illustration. The manga is serialized on ComicWalker under Kadokawa’s FLOS Comic fantasy label and has released 30 chapters across five compiled volumes.
Set in a unique world where 16-year-olds receive blessings from various animal gods, the story follows Sophia, the shy daughter of a noble. After receiving the blessing of the “Gorilla God,” she gains the extraordinary ability to lift over 500 kg. Despite her desire for a tranquil life, her immense strength attracts attention, ultimately leading her to be recruited by the royal knights.
