In an exciting development for anime fans, the highly anticipated third season of Re is set to premiere on October 2, 2024, featuring an extended episode lasting 86 minutes. The series, which is adapted from Tappei Nagatsuki’s popular light novels, will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll, with new episodes releasing weekly thereafter.
Re follows the story of Subaru Natsuki, who finds himself transported to a fantastical world, only to meet an unfortunate fate shortly after his arrival. However, Subaru discovers a unique ability: each time he dies, he can rewind time, retaining his memories while everyone else remains unaware of his previous experiences.
The third season will continue the narrative from Subaru’s recent triumph at the Sanctuary and his ongoing commitment to Emilia, a key candidate in the royal selection for the Kingdom of Lugunica. The season synopsis hints at new challenges as a letter from Anastasia, another royal selection candidate, beckons Emilia to the Watergate City of Priestella. As the group embarks on their journey, ominous events loom, leading Subaru to confront yet another harsh fate.
Re’s premiere heralds the start of a promising fall anime lineup. Following its release, viewers can look forward to Dan Da Dan debuting on Netflix and Crunchyroll on October 3, along with Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 and Blue Lock Season 2 on Hulu/Disney Plus and Crunchyroll, respectively. Dragon Ball Daima will also premiere shortly after on October 11.
