Story Overview
The Colors Within follows the journey of Totsuko, a high school student attending a Christian academy in Nagasaki, who has a unique gift—she can see people’s emotions as colors. Whether they are happy, sad, or anxious, Totsuko can perceive their feelings visually. To protect her friends and family from negative emotions, she carefully adjusts her behavior to keep their “colors” bright. Her life changes when she encounters a strikingly radiant girl and a boy passionate about music in a quaint secondhand bookstore. Together, the trio forms a band, giving voice to the melodies of their youth.
