The series is set in a world where the vampire race once possessed immortality but has since lost this power. The story is centered around the remaining mortal vampires and their interaction with the human race. A mythical vampire named TRUMP, believed to possess eternal life, is central to the narrative, with the plot following Dali Delico, the head of a prestigious aristocratic vampire family.

Suemitsu’s original stage play, which premiered in Japan in 2009, has since inspired various adaptations, including other plays, short stories, and concerts. The TRUMP manga, launched by Suemitsu and Hamaguri in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine in November 2020, concluded its run with the release of the fifth compiled volume on February 2. Although a prequel manga titled Cocoon was initially planned for spring, its release was delayed due to Hamaguri’s health issues. The manga eventually debuted on September 4.
