New Trailer Released for Vibrant Anime Film The Colors Within

by Hazel

GKids has unveiled the official U.S. trailer for The Colors Within, the latest anime feature from renowned filmmaker Naoko Yamada, best known for her work on A Silent Voice and Liz and the Blue Bird. The film has garnered critical praise since its premiere and promises to captivate anime enthusiasts with its heartfelt story and stunning visuals.

A Story of Friendship and Self-Discovery

The plot centers on Totsuko, a high school student with the unique ability to perceive the “colors” that represent people’s emotions. These colors symbolize various feelings such as happiness, excitement, and tranquility. Among the many hues Totsuko encounters, there’s one she cherishes above all — the beautiful color radiated by Kimi, a classmate at her school.

Despite her lack of musical experience, Totsuko decides to form a band with Kimi and Rui, a quiet music lover they meet at a used bookstore. Together, they practice in an old church on a secluded island. As the three characters bond over music, their friendships deepen, and they begin to uncover their own “colors.”
