Aniplex has announced that the popular mineralogy adventure manga Ruri no Houseki will be adapted into a television anime, slated for release in 2025.
The announcement was accompanied by a visual feature image, and further details about the anime will be disclosed during the Aniplex Online Fest 2024, set to take place in Japan on September 16, 2024. In addition, an official Twitter account and website for the series have recently been launched.
To mark the occasion, Keiichiro Shibuya, the creator of the original manga, shared a celebratory illustration on his Twitter account.
First published in Kadokawa’s Harta magazine on August 10, 2019, Ruri no Houseki has released four tankobon volumes as of August 2023. The fifth volume is scheduled to hit shelves in Japan on September 13, 2024.
The manga chronicles the adventures of Ruri, a high school student with a passion for jewelry, who becomes fascinated with mineral collecting after meeting Nagi, a graduate student specializing in mineralogy.
