About Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II
The second season of Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online is set to premiere in Japan on October 4, 2024. This spinoff from the widely popular Sword Art Online franchise first aired in 2018, with the animation originally produced by Studio 3Hz before transitioning to A-1 Pictures for the upcoming season.
The anime adapts the light novel series penned by Keiichi Sigsawa, renowned for Kino’s Journey, with illustrations by Kouhaku Kuroboshi. The series debuted under ASCII Media Works on December 10, 2014. As of March 2023, thirteen volumes have been published, with the highly anticipated 14th volume slated for release on October 10, 2024.

I May Be a Guild Receptionist is scheduled to debut in January 2025, with CloverWorks overseeing the animation production. This series is an adaptation of the light novel by Mato Kousaka, with illustrations by Gaou, first published by ASCII Media Works on March 10, 2021. To date, eight volumes have been released, with the latest in August 2024.
