September 3 marks the birthday of Zenitsu Agatsuma, a beloved character from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. To celebrate this special occasion, the official website has unveiled a commemorative illustration created by ufotable. The artwork showcases Zenitsu alongside his loyal sparrow, Chuntaro.

Created by Koyoharu Gotoge, the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga originally ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, culminating in 23 volumes. The anime adaptation, produced by ufotable, premiered in April 2019 and significantly increased the franchise’s global popularity. The series has since become one of the best-selling manga of all time, inspiring multiple stage plays and video games.
Following the success of its first season, the anime saw a groundbreaking sequel film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Train, released in 2020. This film set a new record as the highest-grossing anime film of all time. It was subsequently adapted into eight TV episodes and integrated into the second season, which included the Entertainment District Arc. The third season, aired in Spring 2023, covered the Swordsmith Village Arc, while the fourth season, debuting in Spring 2024, focused on the Hashira Training Arc.
Looking ahead, fans can anticipate a movie trilogy for the Infinity Castle Arc, currently in production.
