In anticipation of its premiere on October 11, 2024, Toei Animation has released a new trailer for the highly awaited Dragon Ball DAIMA anime series. The trailer, along with newly unveiled key art, has provided fans with a deeper glimpse into the latest chapter of the beloved Dragon Ball franchise.
The key art introduces new characters Panzy and Gomah, as well as a mysterious figure who appears to be observing Goku and his companions from the shadows. The story is set in the Demon Realm, where Goku and the Supreme Kai find themselves transformed into smaller versions of their usual selves, a twist that hints at an underlying conspiracy.
The trailer not only showcases these miniaturized versions of Goku and Supreme Kai but also highlights additional characters slated to debut in the series. The opening theme song, “Jaka Jaan,” performed by Zedd featuring C&K, accompanies the visual preview, adding to the excitement.
Fans can explore more details, including the Japanese voice cast, on the official announcement page.
Dragon Ball DAIMA is the brainchild of the late Akira Toriyama, who crafted the story and character designs. The series is directed by Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki, with Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru overseeing the animated character design. Yokyo Kakihara has taken on the role of scenario and composition.
In addition to the anime, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is set to launch for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on the same day as the anime’s premiere, October 11, 2024.
