The highly anticipated second season of the golf-themed anime Oi! Introducing New Cast Members
The new season will feature two notable additions to the cast:
Yui Ishikawa, known for her role as Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan, joins the series as Hinoki Otoha. Hinoki is depicted as an earnest and kind-hearted character who faces significant pressure from her father’s high expectations.
Marina Inoue, who also lent her voice to Armin Arlelt in Attack on Titan, takes on the role of Ema Kurisu. Ema, a former champion golfer who was sidelined by a serious injury, is making a dramatic return to the sport after a decade away, now competing as a left-handed golfer.

The first season of Oi! Tonbo, based on the golf-themed manga by Ken Kawasaki (story) and Yu Furusawa (art), aired for 13 episodes from April 6 to June 29, 2024. The series is directed by Oh Jin koo for OLM, with Mitsuki Hirota handling the series composition, Kei Takeuchi designing the characters, and Nobuko Toda composing the music.
Synopsis
The narrative follows Igarashi, who seeks to escape his past and relocates to the Tokara Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture. On Hinoshima Island, reputed as Japan’s “last unexplored region,” he encounters Tonbo, an exceptionally talented junior high school student with a remarkable gift for golf. This meeting sets the stage for significant changes in both their lives.
