In a recent announcement, it has been revealed that SPYAIR will perform the opening theme song for the highly anticipated TV anime adaptation of Tsuyoshi Yasuda’s historical fiction manga, Blue Miburo. The opening theme, titled “Ao” (“Blue”), will accompany the series, and a teaser video showcasing the song has been released.
The manga Blue Miburo, serialized by Kodansha in their Weekly Shonen Magazine since 2021, has garnered considerable attention with 14 volumes published in Japan to date. Kodansha USA is also publishing the English version under the title The Blue Wolves of Mibu.
The anime adaptation will be directed by Kumiko Habara at MAHO FILM studio. The series composition is handled by Kenta Ihara, with character designs by Yuko Oba and Miyako Nishida. Yuki Hayashi is composing the music for the series. The anime is slated to premiere in Japan on October 19, 2024.
