MAPPA Studio has officially announced the upcoming release of Attack on Titan: The Last Attack, a highly anticipated 145-minute film that will hit Japanese theaters this winter.
According to the anime’s official website, Attack on Titan Final Season: The Final Chapters will be consolidated into this massive feature-length animation. The news comes alongside the release of a teaser trailer, which has already generated excitement among fans eager for the next installment.
The film is directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, who shared his thoughts on the project, saying, “I originally developed the storyboards with the assumption that it would be watched as a single movie. So, having the opportunity to show it to everyone in the best possible setting, the theater, is a dream come true for me.” Hayashi also noted that the visuals have been specifically enhanced for the theatrical release.
Attack on Titan: The Last Attack is expected to combine both chapters of Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters into this 145-minute feature. The film’s score will feature Linked Horizon’s “To You 2,000…or 20,000 Years From Now…,” a track that deeply resonates with the series’ themes. Additionally, the audio has been upgraded to 5.1 surround sound to enhance the viewing experience.
Fans of the series can look forward to experiencing the epic conclusion of Attack on Titan in a cinematic format that promises to deliver an unforgettable visual and auditory experience.
