ATLANTA — The wildly popular duo, Rick and Morty, are making a grand return to Adult Swim with their new series, “Rick and Morty: The Anime,” which promises to captivate a wider audience with its fresh artistic approach. In anticipation of the series premiere, the Rickmobile is set to make its final, highly anticipated stop of the ANIMErican tour in Atlanta, the very city where Adult Swim originated.
Fans can visit the Rickmobile without needing a ticket. The vehicle, featuring an elaborate design, will be stationed at Monday Night Garage on Lee Street this Thursday. The event will run from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., with several screenings beginning at 8 p.m.
The celebration will also include exclusive merchandise giveaways and photo opportunities for attendees.
At midnight, Takashi Sano, the visionary director behind the series, will unveil the English-dubbed version of the 10-episode anime series on Adult Swim. For those who prefer subtitles, the Japanese version will be available starting August 17 at midnight on Toonami, Adult Swim’s action/anime programming block. Subsequent episodes will premiere on HBO Max the following day.
The voice cast for the series includes:
Rick: Youhei Tadano (Japanese) / Joe Daniels (English)
Morty: Keisuke Chiba (Japanese) / Gabriel Regojo (English)
Summer: Akiha Matsui (Japanese) / Donna Bella Litton (English)
