Anime enthusiasts in the Philippines now have the chance to immerse themselves in the world of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” with the launch of a captivating interactive exhibit in Quezon City.

The “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Total Concentration Exhibition” brings the beloved anime and manga series to life, offering fans an opportunity to explore the rich, dark world of Demon Slayers. Originally published from 2016 to 2020, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is set during Japan’s Taisho period, where demons prey on humans at night. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy turned Demon Slayer, on his quest to cure his cursed sister Nezuko and avenge his family’s murder by a demon.

Among the exhibit’s visitors is Cosplay X Family, a Filipino family of five who often share their cosplay adventures on social media. They embraced the exhibit’s “positive” and “festive” atmosphere by dressing up as characters from the show. “Our favorite part was being transported into the most iconic scenes of the show in cosplay!” they shared with GMA News Online.

The exhibit offers more than just a visual experience. Visitors can try their hand at the sword skills featured in the anime, gaining a taste of what it feels like to be a Demon Slayer. Additionally, sketches from the series are on display, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the animation and art design. “The behind-the-scenes look on the animation and art design were very interesting and made you appreciate the medium even more. The Easter eggs were also very much appreciated,” added Cosplay X Family.

Another fan, Jamilah Angco, praised the anime’s animation quality, saying, “The animation studio did a really great job portraying and bringing the manga panels to life and giving it much justice.” Angco was particularly excited to learn that the exhibit, usually held in Japan, was coming to Manila. “My favorite part of the exhibit is the sections where it’s not allowed to take photos since it brings more to the exhibit. It just means that you really have to be there to witness it firsthand.”

In addition to the interactive elements, the exhibit features exclusive “Demon Slayer” merchandise, including designs inspired by Filipino culture.

The “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Total Concentration Exhibition” is open until October 27 at New Gateway Mall 2 in Quezon City, offering fans a unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of their favorite anime.
