ONE and Yusuke Murata’s One-Punch Man manga is taking a two-week hiatus due to Murata’s “various adjustments and preparations.” Announced on the Tonari no Young Jump editorial department’s blog (via Anime News Network), the series will resume serialization on August 22.
This hiatus means that no new chapters will be released for a couple of months following Chapter 201. Fans can expect Chapter 202 to drop on Thursday, August 22.
Murata took to Twitter to apologize to fans for the wait, assuring them that the manga will return with “increased power.”
In addition to the manga, One-Punch Man is returning to animation after four years, with Season 3 announced in March. J.C. Staff will be animating the new season.
Moreover, a Hollywood live-action adaptation of One-Punch Man is in the works, with Community co-creator Dan Harmon and Rick and Morty contributor Heather Anne Campbell writing the film.
Fans can read the One-Punch Man manga digitally on Viz’s Shonen Jump service. Both seasons of the One-Punch Man anime are available to watch on Crunchyroll, Muse Asia/India, and Netflix.
