The mini-anime spin-off Frieren’s Magic of ??, based on Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, has begun streaming new episodes online. The latest installment, Episode 12: “Magic to Increase Height,” is now available.
New episodes will be released on YouTube, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter) on the first Wednesday of each month until September 2025. The series explores the minor, everyday spells that Frieren gathers during her travels—some practical, others purely whimsical.
Directed by Keiichiro Saito, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is produced by MADHOUSE and adapted from the manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. Crunchyroll currently streams the first season, while the second season is set to premiere in January 2026 in Japan. The English version of the manga is published by VIZ Media.
Set after the defeat of the Demon King, the story follows the elven mage Frieren as she witnesses the passage of time and the mortality of her former human companions. Determined to fulfill their dying wishes, she takes on a new apprentice and embarks on a journey to understand the nature of life and death.
