Sony Pictures has acquired the global theatrical rights to Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc and confirmed a U.S. release date of October 29, 2025. The film will debut internationally on September 24, across over 80 countries.
In Japan, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will premiere on September 19, through Toho.
This film is a direct sequel to the popular 2022 anime Chainsaw Man, which has garnered significant international attention. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and written by Hiroshi Seko, the movie is produced by the same animation studio behind the series, MAPPA.
The film will feature the original voice cast from the anime, along with new additions, including Reina Ueda, who will voice Reze, a pivotal character in the Reze Arc.
The deal was brokered by Virginia Longmuir, EVP of Business Affairs at Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions.
