The highly anticipated TV anime Fermat no Ryori (“Fermat’s Cooking”), based on the cooking manga by Yugo Kobayashi, will premiere in July 2025. The anime will air on Saturdays on the TV Asahi Network as part of the “IMAnimation” programming block.
A teaser trailer and new artwork have been released to promote the series. However, details about the production team have not been disclosed at this time.
The Fermat no Ryori manga, serialized by Kodansha in Monthly Shonen Magazine since September 2018, has released four collected volumes in Japan. The story follows Gaku Kitada, a brilliant mathematician who abandons his dream of a career in mathematics. He is later recruited by Kai Asakura, a talented and enigmatic chef, and begins using his mathematical expertise to create innovative and extraordinary culinary dishes.
