The Flower and Asura anime has announced that Ami Koshimizu will join its voice cast as Konoyono Owari. Konoyono is an emerging poet who has gained popularity among young people, and she will make her debut in Episode 7, airing on February 18. Preview images for the episode have also been released.

The anime is based on the manga Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku (The Flower Blooms, Like Ashura), written by Ayano Takeda, known for Sound! Euphonium. The manga features illustrations by Musshu.
Story Overview:
The story follows Hana, a young girl who lives on Tonakijima, a small island with a population of 600. She enjoys reading to the children on the island. Mizuki, the president of the school’s broadcasting club, notices Hana’s talent for engaging others through her reading and invites her to join the club.
“I want to join the broadcasting club,” Hana replies, marking the beginning of her journey with the club, where she experiences many “firsts” and develops a deeper love for reading.
Studio and Production:
The anime is produced by Studio Bind, known for its work on Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. The studio also adapted ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister in Winter 2023 and is currently working on Ruri no Hoseki: Introduction to Mineralogy, which will release in 2025.
