Anime fans, pop culture enthusiasts, and gamers in Fayetteville have something to look forward to this spring, as the city will host its inaugural Fayetteville Anime-Fest. Scheduled for March 2, 2025, the event will take place at the Hilton DoubleTree Hotel, located at 1965 Cedar Creek Road. Attendees can take advantage of free parking, making the convention an accessible and exciting experience for all.
Organized by the team behind FayettevilleCon, the festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and promises a full day of attractions, special guest appearances, and activities suitable for attendees of all ages. According to the event’s official announcement, attendees can expect a diverse selection of anime, comic books, toys, statues, and other merchandise for purchase.
Ticket prices for the event are set at $20 for general admission, with children under 11 granted free entry (one child per paying adult).
Featured Guests and Event Highlights
Fayetteville Anime-Fest will feature an impressive lineup of guest speakers, including prominent voice actors. Peter Kelamis, widely recognized for voicing “Goku” in Dragon Ball Z and his roles in Ed, Edd & Eddy, will be attending. Chuck Huber, who voiced several characters in Dragon Ball Z, including “Kurogiri” in My Hero Academia and “Hiei” in Yu Yu Hakusho, is also confirmed.
In addition to meeting the voice acting stars, attendees will have the chance to participate in a variety of fun-filled activities. The event’s schedule includes an anime trivia competition at 11:30 a.m., followed by a lip sync contest at 2 p.m., where participants can showcase their performance skills. At 4 p.m., a cosplay contest will allow fans to display their creativity and dress as their favorite characters.
For gamers, there will be a Super Smash Bros. tournament, alongside several interactive panels where fans can ask questions about their favorite anime and pop culture topics.
