TOHO Animation has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 will premiere in the summer of 2025. Fans of the anime series can look forward to a new chapter in the action-packed saga, with the announcement coming alongside several exciting updates for the franchise.
At the Jump Festa 2025 event this past weekend, a new trailer for Kaiju No. 8’s Season 1 compilation film was released, offering a glimpse of the upcoming special episode titled Hoshina’s Day Off. Alongside the trailer, a striking new teaser visual was unveiled, showcasing Gen Narumi, the First Division Captain of the Defense Force. The image is accompanied by the tagline, “Proof of being the strongest,” heightening anticipation for the new season.
In addition to the teaser visual and trailer, TOHO Animation revealed that Japanese theaters will host a three-week run for the Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 compilation film, along with Hoshina’s Day Off, beginning on March 28, 2025.
The new trailer also previewed “Invincible,” the anime’s upcoming theme song performed by OneRepublic, adding another layer of excitement to the already highly anticipated season.
Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 is slated for release in July 2025, promising fans more action, new storylines, and a thrilling continuation of the series.
