The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Jun Mayuzuki’s manga Kowloon Generic Romance is officially slated for an April 2025 debut. Fans were treated to exciting updates today, including the release of a new trailer, a key visual, and additional details about the production team and voice cast.

The adaptation is helmed by director Yoshiaki Iwasaki, renowned for his work on Love Hina. Jin Tanaka (Oshi no Ko) is handling the scriptwriting, while Yuka Shibata is in charge of character design. The project is being produced by Arvo Animation.
Meet the Cast
Haruka Shiraishi will voice Reiko Kujirai, a real estate agent navigating the complex, nostalgic world of Kowloon Walled City. Tomokazu Sugita joins her as Hajime Kudo, Kujirai’s enigmatic colleague. Additional cast members announced include:

- Taito Ban as Tao Gwen
- Aoi Koga as Yaomay
- Sayumi Suzushiro as Xiaohei

Yen Press, the publisher of the English version of the manga, describes the series as follows:

First serialized in Weekly Young Jump magazine in November 2019, the manga has captivated readers with its blend of nostalgia, romance, and mystery.
