Manga Origins and Plot
The Everyday Host anime is based on Nimo Goto’s Everyday Host manga, which originally began as a web series before being serialized on platforms like Pixiv and Niconico Seiga from July 2020 to October 2022. Kadokawa Shoten acquired the rights to the series, releasing it in digital volumes under the Asuka Comics DX imprint. As of November 2024, three digital volumes have been published, with two more slated for release in December 2024.
The manga follows Sekiguchi, a former businessman who, after experiencing a health scare, transitions to a career as a host at “Club One.” He becomes part of an unusual team, including a veteran host with over 20 years of experience, a former idol, a socially awkward host obsessed with social games, and several other outlandish characters. The surreal gags and comedic moments from these everyday interactions are central to the charm of the series, offering both absurd humor and heartwarming moments.
What to Expect from the Anime
Fans of the manga can expect the anime to capture the essence of the series, with its offbeat humor, dynamic character interactions, and surreal storytelling. With Rarecho at the helm and an experienced voice cast, the Everyday Host anime promises to be a highly anticipated addition to the spring 2025 anime lineup.
