The highly anticipated third season of Konosuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! made waves earlier this year, and now fans can look forward to new content with the announcement of a brand-new OVA. Set to debut in Japan in March 2025, the special release will feature two episodes not seen during the original season run.
Season 3 of Konosuba, which concluded earlier this year, was one of the most talked-about anime releases of Spring 2024. At the time, it was confirmed that the series would continue with additional content in the form of an OVA. However, unlike the specials that accompanied previous seasons, Konosuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! 3 -Bonus Stage- will include two fresh episodes titled “Red Stream Explosion!” and “Beware of Fakes!”
The OVA will have a theatrical debut in Japan on March 14, 2025, followed by a Blu-ray and DVD release on April 25. A teaser trailer and a new poster for the special have already been released, providing fans with a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming episodes.
While there is currently no confirmed international release date, fans can expect the same returning voice cast and production team from Season 3. These additional episodes promise to continue the series’ signature mix of chaotic humor and adventurous storytelling, following Kazuma and his companions on another offbeat journey outside of the main plotline.
Season 3 of Konosuba was the shortest in the anime’s history, but these extra episodes will add some much-needed length to the season. Fans who eagerly awaited the return of the beloved characters earlier this year are sure to be excited for more next spring.
